People who don't know how to bake or cook

... I mean, the ones after the pandemic, absolutely suck. Finally, I am 34 and I have a gap to actually learn these essential skills.

So a healthcare worker that works overtime almost every day and the days they do have off they are too exhausted to do anything but sleep suck because they haven’t learned to bake or cook?

I'm a good cook but never had the time or reason to devote to it until now.

For you. Others of us have been scraping by for resources such as time and money and don’t possess such luxuries that would allow them to become four-star chefs.

How people can't do this, I took Cooking in Grade 9 and 10 as an insane teenager and have been on the go since.
You tube has thousands of cooking channels. There's the Taste of Home website, you can search by ingredients you have on hand, styles, quick and easy, etc etc. they have 60,000 recipes, and people submit hundreds of home recipes every month to win prizes.
I can make better food than what you get in the restaurants, at a fraction the cost...and have been a much better cook than every GF I've had.

Get on it.

"the ones after the pandemic" - do you mean, people who are at home all the time now but still don't know how to cook, they suck? Some people just don't enjoy it, is that a fault?

Essential indeed

I’m always surprised when I meet someone who really has no idea of how to look after themselves. I place the blame for that squarely on their parents. I was cooking by the time I was ten. I also had to learn all the usual tasks to take care of a home, including basic gardening. I made my kids do similar chores too. It’s ridiculous that so many parents don’t understand that their main job is to prepare their children to take care of themselves. Especially the males. Far too many of them were completely catered to and grow up expecting someone else to continue to do that. Those of us who wind up with one of those curse their parents daily.

I have noticed this trend of people who are somehow proud of the fact that they cant even do the basic tasks of living. You know the type, who brags that they cant boil water or turn on the oven? Its like people who brag about faking orgasms. At the end of the day, these people are useless and a waste of oxygen. Grow up.

Excuses excuses

@ Single guy
You don't have 20 minutes a day to dedicate to cooking? But I bet you spend much more than that on internet/games/porn/Youtube/FB etc

@That's Nice. Don't make an excuse then exaggerate it acting like you need to take courses to be a "4 star chef".
Anyone with a tiny bit of sense knows it costs a fraction to cook as opposed to ordering in or eating out.
For a price of a crappy McD meal I can make 10 burgers which are twice the size and 5 times better.
For the price of an order in crappy pizza, I can buy enough supplies to make 4 pizzas that are much bigger and better. The "work" involves maybe 5 minutes of my time and 15 in the oven.
