How's it going to be

I'm not ready for it to be over. It's scary to admit it aloud. I've truly enjoyed the space, the quiet, the slowed pace. There's suddenly time to think. I don't want to go back to the busyness, the crowded spaces, and the cacophonous monotony that comes with filling in the gaps with things to feel like it's justifying time. It's been rough for a lot out there. But I've realized, I'm built for this.

I read the confession below about going to a concert and I got scared at the sheer idea of it. I have full-on agoraphobia and crowd aversion after bubbling for this long.

I don’t think things will return exactly to the way they were before, but even if they do, I’m committed to figuring out how to live a long-term wfh hermit life. My nervous system depends on it.

Don't have to change.

The old fable of two wolves inside you fighting, and it's which one you feed that wins. Take from this pandemic all the great things you've found with mellowness, learn from the things you used to be stresse about. The future is unwritten, when you get there figure out how to find the peace you've found during the pandemic. :)

That ain't gonna happen til next year I'd think. I'm one of the last to get vaccinated in July-Sept and who knows what's gonna happen when fall comes. You can probably enjoy another year of the "slow life"

It's made me realize I'm not built for the city. When I can, I'm getting out. I've heard a lot of people say the same. I was raised in a small country town, and that's where I feel most comfortable.

Someone wrote something on the internet

There was a Reddit thread discussing "what if the only way to avoid an illness would to be in crowds all the time, the opposite to isolation". How would you fare?

Like the other poster, I already disliked crowds at concerts...
