Lately my neighbors seem to trying to drown out the smells of my cooking with perfumes. Better than cigarettes, I guess.

We can't even burn incense in our building in case it causes some sensitive neighbour nasal distress.

Isn't it always the way? The most abusive people are the least resilient. Maybe your neighbours had it and had a secret meeting, didn't invite you so they could brainstorm ways to smoke you and your abusive ways out.

Perfume was a really good book by Patrick Suskind. Stanley Kubrick wanted to direct the film version of it. I wish that he had. Tom Tywker (the director of Run Lola Run) made it instead.
