Rain, BAD

I ran away from Vancouver to escape the rain... Well, the rain and an unrequited love. Oh yeah, and running out of money. But mostly the rain, after the other two. Anyway, the point is it has been raining nonstop for 3 weeks where I am now. I hate it. HATE it.

I fucking hate rain. I torture myself by checking the weather in cities where I used to live, and they're dry but London, of course. Unrequited love? So many fish in the sea, move on. New places, new faces.

I'm coming too!! I've been stuck here for nearly 19 years straight. I love the rain actually, but Vancouver's kind of a terrible place to be for that long. Stifling.

also it must look really incredible above the clouds when it's rainy

It's the rain in your soul that you're trying to avoid but, in reality, you will never escape it. Be one with the rain.

You ran away, yet it sounds like you're still here. I'll take rain over snow any day myself.

rain and running out of money... well, if u still have the rain, at least u arnt paying Vancouver over prices for rent. and , possibly have half a chance at a semi vibrant cultural and nightlife depending on where ( obv once covid has also slammed the door!) - Rain doesnt bother me but the other does. counting the days till I can get out of this selfie obsessed toy town

Winter isn't as scary in the rest of Canada as on the Wet Coast.

How very Vancouver for you to think that people are 'running away' because they're 'damaged.' It's that boring insular self-absorbed neuroses that makes Vancouver unbearable at times. Everyone's a victim. Choose life, much of the world has.
