Since the Second Wave started

I’ve been unable to fall asleep until 3 or 4am, and sleeping until noon. This is so unlike me! I don’t know why....even when I exercise a lot it happens. I lie there and I can’t stop thinking “I can’t believe this is happening.” Until I finally conk out. I know this is a terribly unhealthy and weird schedule to be on.

These are unhealthy and weird times, so that sounds about right. Time has no meaning anymore.

Be gentle on yourself. This is an extraordinarily stressful time for the majority of us.All of my friends tell me they are having trouble sleeping and that the pandemic is causing them to feel depressed and despair.I have covid nightmares.Just know that you're not alone.

Why is it weird? We're not (well, all of us) programmed robots. Stress affects us all differently, and sleep is usually one of the first things affected due to stress. I've had several different sleep patterns since covid, now I'm sleeping late, waking early, getting 3-4 hours, at most, of sleep, until it changes. Keeping a record helps. "Normal"'s gone.

(I don't live in Vancouver) I'm still in isolation from the first one. It still sucks.

Set your alarm for the time you want to wake up. You’re gonna have a horrible day...don’t make life decisions or operate have machinery...but don’t nap, keep plugging until regular nighttime and then you’ll be able to go down.
Not alone

I'm in the same boat.
I've also been sleeping ten hours at night.
I've learned to accept it though because this will be only time I'll be in this boat.
