Sorry not sorry

I confess that when I hear someone with almost no obvious physical imperfections talking about how they’ve just learned to “accept” their body and all its imperfections, inside my eyes are rolling. Come on! These people who weigh about as much as an average 10 year old, who are somewhere between 20 and 40 years old, who have buckets of money and resources for countless beauty treatments and physical trainers and dieticians, really think that they represent the rest of us? Even the non-celebrity types who have been blessed with amazing genes and who think that their looks are a personal accomplishment of some kind, who can pretty much wear a bag and no makeup and still look great. Pfffftttt.

The influencers

Are a bad influence.

Perhaps it’s time to do a major social media cull or consider getting off socials altogether? It sounds like these people are just spewing boring, rote lines about body positivity while not really getting it, and who needs to tune in for that?

I think

You are very bitter. Lots and lots of people have a distorted view of themselves, and see massive faults where there are none. They aren’t fishing for compliments, they’re f&Cked up by it... have some compassion.

No, I’m not bitter. I’m just sick of the overwhelming narcissism being displayed by so many people nowadays. When you add the virtue signalling it’s ridiculous. The type of people I’m talking about seem to want constant attention, and when they pretend to be unhappy with the body they’re willfully posting photos of in various stages of undress all over social media, their protestations ring false. Bitter? No. Just fed up with fake people and their fake humility.

Reminds me of high school gym change room

When the richest, most popular and most skinny girl whined “I’m sooooo fat”, the entire change room of us girls went silent. Privilege, genes, the luck of the draw that none of us had or will ever have. Fortunately I covet and envy singers, dancers, illustrators and elite athletes, you know, people with beautiful talents.

Jealousy

It isn’t a good look. Everyone has their insecurities. Even seemingly perfect looking people have trauma that you know nothing of. Don’t judge lest ye be judged. If you are ugly, don’t be a bitch because all that makes you is an ugly bitch.
