working full time

I don't know if people who aren't chronically ill have way more energy than me, or if everyone is tired all the time.

Ssri’s and sleeping pills. Elvis looked pretty tired too. Health not there. Healthscare. Two-tiered medical and we are back to the class systems. Hooray we’re moving backwards!!

I’ve been tired from working and tired from parenting (while working too), but the most tired I’ve ever been is from chronic illness. When you can sleep for 15 hours straight and still not feel rested, that’s severe fatigue and it’s completely debilitating. I think that unless someone has actually experienced this type of illness they just won’t be able to understand the difference.

It’s a tiring time. Most decisions I have to calculate the risk factor. I end up doing nothing at home. Too much screen time. Because I’m not tired, I don’t sleep well. Then the whole days cycle repeats itself. I’m working full time and consider myself someone who’s on the ball. But I’m not doing well after all these months. I miss that feeling of coming home exhilarated from seeing friends and seeing a show or live music or a group run. It’s a whole lotta blah now.

You put that well. Everything is running together in a blah sameness. No high highs or low lows. Just flatlining. Zzzzzzz.

I agree. I read a newspaper opinion piece that said that regular people could learn a lot from chronically ill people right now, because we have already gone through the process of having our lives change drastically, being restricted in our movement, losing economic resources, etc. We have already learned how to cope with all of this and how to live our best life, regardless. It's not until you're tested that you find out how resilient you can be.
