Losing friends to covid.

Thank goodness not becoming sick and dying, but losing long time friends because I don't strongly agree that covid is some scheme developed by the uber rich to control the population. covid has been exhausting for everyone, I don't feel the need to eat, sleep, and shit conspiracy theories. Everyone runs their own race I guess.

I lost two old friends because of covid conspiracy BS. There is no denying, however the rich have benefited greatly from covid. Good ol' disaster capitalism.

The defriending..

It is about respecting your neighbour

Than believing schemes. The sacrifice that is expected of people is not a personal struggle, it is out of respect to the health care people who are burned out from over working, for the grocery store people who have dealt with our anxiety and shit day after day, kids not having an sense of a normal school year, etc. It is not about you. But YOU do have a role in how you respect and treat others who are affected directly by the pandemic.

It's not just the rich---they talk about the billionaires making huge gains on the stock market so that they don't have to talk about your neighbor who makes $150k/year as an administrator in the health authority making thousands in the stock market while you're not allowed to work because you're "non-essential."

Everything that happens, our governments respond with policies that favour the rich. Who else do you think pays for the ridiculous costs of election campaigns? Our "leaders" are bought before they're even elected. So, no surprise that has happened with covid. But no, they did not create covid for their benefit. They don't need to because see above - everything that happens results in policies in their favour. My fave game to play with the conspiracy theorists is to get t o get them to try to explain to me what "they" are achieving through whatever conspiracy, and then show them how that's already being achieved a million ways such that huge complicated conspiracies are not needed - e.g. chemtrails. It's really sad that these right wing nuts prey so much on the poor. Our education system needs to address this, but in order to do so, we have to address the poverty that prevents people from accessing education. It's a long road.

"Our "leaders" are bought before they're even elected." That's a conspiracy theory the right wing tinfoil hat wearing conspiracy theorists came up with. Next you'll be an anti vaxer and masker.

To the person who wrote the reply to my comment. I would looooove to not be working right now, but guess what? I'm an "essential" (Read shitty pay but considered vital to the gears that grind society) worker. I've had to work all the holidays in the last year, haven't had any time off, am totally stressed and would be happy to be lying in bed collecting CERB right now. Trust me, there's plenty of "essential" work right now if you want to stick it to the man. Hell. I'll set you up!

Hot potato pass it on... hot potat— only this game is called baked potato... and our politicians are playing it at our expense. Private Serpents. I was wondering who bought up all the good weed. And left us with 3 month old fossilized flowers at the dispensary. It makes complete sense there’s a black market. Government fucks everything up.
