One Dose Now for Everyone Most Likely to Die

I hate the NDP AFTER 40 YEARS. I’m 65 and under doctor’s orders been in ISOLATION with my wife with numerous chronic conditions. My health is manageable (diabetic) but the virus will kill me. My neighbours won’t wear a mask. In isolation for over a year now told to go to the end of the line (April). I will vote Adrian Dix out of office. My wife can’t work because she could bring the virus home. 500,000 diabetics in B.C. The government has let us down.

I can’t even take Bonnie Henry seriously anymore. That woman is a circus freak. I don’t think a lot of people are too happy with her.

Not really

A lot of us diabetics out there, just be careful when you go out. Get mad at the people who don't believe in wearing masks.

Don't stress yourself too much

Hopefully you'll just turn out to be an asymptomatic diabetic like me. On a side note, stress remains as the number one killer, especially in adults your age.

Vaccine supply is a federal gov. issue, the province can't help it if we don't have enough vaccines. NDP has done more for health care than liberals in BC ever did. Please research this stuff.

Fair enough

There's a good strong chance you've already had it and didn't even know like the rest of us - no way you could not have. Your stress will take you out long before anything. Also it's far more effective to vote a person who you want in.

Would anyone else do better?

I'm in the same boat as you, a quadriplegic on a ventilator who lives in the community. If I get a severe, or even mild, case of Covid I'm toast. But who do you think would do better? Certainly not the provincial Liberals. The whole world is going through what we're experiencing. Compared to other jurisdictions BC has done really well. While there are some things I disagree with, on the whole the provincial government has done a pretty good job. A little too lenient for my taste, but still satisfactory in comparison to others. Just hang on for another month or two and you turn will come.

And to those of you who are not so vulnerable, WEAR A FUCKING MASK!!

And to those of you who are unselfish enough to wear a mask: THANK YOU! It is VERY much appreciated.

Uh Yeah

Misguided

The vaccine issues are due to a world supply shortage, none of our government branches can do any more than they already are. Thank your lucky stars we're an NDP government, because look at the disasters like Alberta and other conservative-led areas. You'd be dead and homeless in those places.
I agree there should be more enforcement regarding masks. We don't have the money for that level of micromanagement but we do have peer pressure. We need more of the public to be more vocal, and steeper fines for antimaskers.
BTW, April is not at all the end of the line. Younger people will wait until late summer or the fall. And not letting your wife work is so you can live. You do want to live and not make your wife a widow, right?
We're all exhausted, things are on their way, and although it doesn't look it, the light at the end of the tunnel is nearby.

If you have diabetes 1, well that's a tough one, but if you have diabetes 2, you can do a lot for yourself by simply eating low fat plant-based. Don't knock it until you've tried it. There are many resources out there.
