I have some really shitty dramatic neighbours. They fight all day from the wee hours of the morning to late night. Has anyone experienced this since covid and what have you done? I try to drown it out but it never ends. Should I be more concerned, call for help? I've tried minding my business but they've picked fights either way.

1. Invite them over for a discussion
2. Remove chairs and sharp objects
Actually do 2 first

I’d give Joe Pesci a call. He knows what to do.

@Dr. Phil Never invite the vampires in
@G. I don't think a fictional character is much help.
Thanks for your suspiciously violent suggestions. They're moving soon anyways, it shouldn't be much longer of their nonsense.
Its very likely they are suffering

Back in the day when I lived on Comox Street there was a combination regular orgy between 6-8 people and 2 of them lived next door and the dude used to regularly beat his girlfriend up. And the landlord collected rent with a snarling guard dog.
Sound

Hmm if there’s a way you can cancel out the sound with a white noise machine, fan, insulation, or noise cancelling headphones and ear plugs, that could help. The other option is to move to a better sound environment. I’m skeptical of making a noise complaint or sending a kind note to your neighbours letting them know how their sound affects you. You can control what you choose to do about it.
Or on a playful note, begin having regular silly topic yelling matches with a friend on a regular basis like why is the pasta noodle so noodly, or why is rain so wet, and see what happens. Either nothing, their arguments increase in volume, they soften, or you soften.
And now I realize, this fighting is having a deep affect on you. Either because it’s bringing up echos of painful feelings from the past or something else. Talk to a therapist too to help process the impression this fighting is having on you.
It is...

... the way it is. I grew up with loud next door neighbors. Honestly, we are probably loud because of them, my brother learned to say "FUCKIN DOOR" from them. And they were just generally loud, like some people, they hit their hammer with a thumb and they start swearing--I can't even type some of the things a normally adjusted red blooded man might have said in the 1980s while i was growing up, the censors would have anxiety attacks.
He had a brother with mental/physical disabilities. He took care of him, he died at home instead of in some godforsaken care home. He took care of his wife.
So, I always thought of them as caring people, who happened to be loud. Some people are loud. If you hear plates being thrown, OK. If it's just loud voices, my view is that normal people raise their voices.
If you never raise your voice, you're abnormal, like a dog that _never_ barks. Most dogs bark sometimes. One that NEVER barks is abnormal. But we still love you little guys!!
1. Noise cancelling headphones

Or 2. Play loud music or 3. Move
File a noise complaint

With your landlord or strata management. You pay rent and you should live without headphones drowning out domestic arguments lasting all day.
Same here

Have a dramatic neighbour who stomps her feet loudly & whines all day long (not sure if she’s moaning to anyone else in her unit).
I hope these people can get help if that’s what they need.. or simply cheer the fuck up.
