It’s a common situation. I’m not saying that you, Op, are the one projecting your own issues onto others, but it is a possibility. In fact, every single one of us is guilty of this at times. It’s part of being human. Unless you’re one of the very few (in fact I’m not sure there are any, but let’s pretend.) people who is totally aware of your every motive, in control of your every thought, and completely without guile, then very likely you have projected, just as others have projected their issues onto you too. So why don’t we all just accept that we’re in this big jumbled mess of “living” and we’re all just flying blind and doing the best that we can?

I completely agree. It sounds like he needs to repeat the course or be doomed to repeat emotional 5th grade. OP take better notes next time in this journey called life or keep living the rest of your days being a sour lurking projector.
