I wish I didn’t have brothers that beat and bullied me often during my childhood. Too bad one can choose their friends but their family.

It doesn't have to be a biological sister. Look for her. She's there
Hey, what a coincidence

I've wished that for a long time as well. Honestly any sibling(s) that I happened to be super close to in mostly positive ways; like soulmates that happen to be family.
Being an only child to an emotionally distant and *very* institutionally abusive parent really grates on one's very soul and existence after long enough, after being financially tied to that person and situationally stuck in that cycle of abuse for so long without end.
@@I always wish
That's a kind suggestion, and even interesting, thank you.

My much older sisters continually beat me and abused me in every way. I ran away at a young age and haven't talked to them in 30 years, but the damage was done and to this day I can't function in public, trust no one, etc etc.

I have amazing sisters, but we really needed that as our parents are abusive and/or absent and totally neglectful. We would not have made it if not caring for each other.
Which is to say, there are blessings wherever you are that are worth counting. We had sisters, but we've also spent our lives dealing with trauma that would have been avoided if we'd had remotely caring parents.
