Please don't tell people how I live

I am a lone bachelor. Above and below me are couples who cook wholesome dinners almost every night. Me? I have frozen vegetables as part of my dinner almost every night. There is a moment when I pour them into a pan. This is quite noisy, so I place my hand above the pan as I pour to soften the landing. I do this because there is a part of me that is embarrassed for eating frozen vegetables alone every night. I don't want the neighbours to hear this sad detail of my life, the frozen vegetables rattling onto the pan again.

.. I don't think they can hear you, man.

Like, I lived in a condo with paper thin walls and I could hear loud snoring, but vegetables in the pan?

I think you're lonely and saying it's that you're polite.

The boys have to make noise to attract a mate, but, you know, with the censorship that's hard.

So you want to share your vegetables with some boy or girl or two boys and a girl or whatever.

Just deal with that, I think. It's not right to live alone. I tried it for a few years then moved back in with mom partly to take care of her, but partly because I saw what living away from home did to me, and I didn't like it. Having a wife is good, but you should stay with mom until you have the wife, don't go out there like a television cartoon all half-cocked, you'll end up lonely, eating frozen vegetables...

I don't think anyone knows or cares that much. I think they are jealous of your lifestyle too.

They don't care or think about it

Firstly, even if they could hear that, they're not going to care. Secondly, they probably quite often use frozen vegetables in their own wholesome meals which you yourself can't hear. Thirdly if you really want to make sure that they can't hear the sounds you're making, just turn the volume up on your television or stereo.

What's wrong with frozen vegetables and why is it sad that you eat them?

But...

It’s your choice to eat frozen vegetables. Just because you’re a single guy doesn’t mean that you’re relegated to eating crap food you know. It takes almost no more time to cook fresh veggies than it does to cook the frozen ones. Learn some basic, easy recipes and start feeding yourself properly. What are you waiting for? Do you think that you’re going to find a woman who’s going to do all of that for you or something?

I live alone too & make little noise so the loud couples either side and above can’t hear. Wild times.

Educate yourself

Read up: frozen actually has more nutrients as they're flash frozen at the moment they're picked while "fresh" vegetables take time to get to store shelves. Hence the vitamins weaken due to age and exposure.
As for sound, you'd have to be living in cardboard for anyone to hear anything like that. Base sounds travel more easily than high piched sounds and base travels through infrastructure due to metal in apartment framework (which is why cranking a stereo is a big no-no in shared residences and is a horrible suggestion).
Use your internet web powers wisely: read to remove the sting of paranoia and empower your self-esteem.

You need more.

You need more than frozen vegetables. I hope that's just your side dish. Someone I know has been eating only veggies for a long time now. He just found out his bones have deteriorated and they are breaking easily. Balance with protein - vegetarian, meat or whatever suits. Frozen full dinners?

Well....

I also live alone - and frozen veggies can be practical, as otherwise things might go to waste. For example, I won't buy whole cauliflower because it's too much for me to eat on my own, so you are - in your own way - saving the planet as food waste is a huge issue. Besides - how do you know what they eat? Keep doing your own thing, don't be ashamed, and be you. Tip: I will make big pots of things and freeze them into smaller containers for quick frozen healthy dinners. Really nice at the end of a busy day.
