To the guy in the west end STILL banging a pot at 7pm

Get over yourself. I respect the efforts of first responders and healthcare workers but now you’re making it just about you. And yes, I’ve seen you take a bow at the end. Pls stop you’re embarrassing yourself.

I salute this man. Think I’ll be doing the same. Careful what you wish for. Such a great excuse to be a douche. My neighbours are healthcare workers so this should be good.

There are people out there who will do just about anything to get attention. Sad.

not the hero you want but the hero you deserve.
sometimes it takes commitment to a stupid idea to show everyone it was ALWAYS a stupid idea.

I was so happy when this stupid fad ended. I'm a health care worker; the last thing I need at the end of a hard day is this kind of migraine-inducing din just as I'm trying to sit down and eat supper. Stfu!!!

my neck of the woods it's Oh Canada every evening at seven performed on trumpet, followed by The Saints Come Marching In. This could have been an opportunity to learn some more tunes...

I was never a big pot banger, but have friends in health care, and the pots are nice, give this guy a break, Vancouver can be very sheepleish sometimes, "is everyone doing this?"" ok I will, ' Oh, people are stopping' , "IIl also stop".. Believe in something, know you own mind!. you know nothing about this fella ( or woman!) - allow differences . If this huge Covid upheaval has shown us anything , we all cope in different ways, forcing friction is not cool, and not good for us all moving forward.

The banging on pots was silly

What if a tired front line person was sleeping? Or had just got their child to sleep?
I think it was a good idea to hang signs in the windows etc saying “thanks front line workers” but the banging was just....no

Well I live in a single family dwelling home in Dunbar. I am a single Mum. I am very lucky & I worked very hard to secure my home over 20 years ago. My neighbours on the corner decided to do pot banging, whistles, kazzos ... for an entire year. At first it was great fun ... but then it got really old. They are still carrying on. After one year. They have friends that come down our block from 10 homes away - everyone else is quiet in the block (as the pot banging stopped over 6 months ago) However my neighbours, who should know better, as they are in their late 60's still carry on and invite their young american seperate tenants up onto their porch every evening - never a mask seen - all shouting & banging pot's n' pans, whistles, kazzoos. Then about 5-7 people come from about 10 houses up the street and gather in front of my house & my neigbours house banging pots 'n pans, ringing cow bells, singing & dancing around the trees. 15' from my house. They have been doing this every night for one year now. I emailed my neighbour twice - yelled at them twice. To no avail. My two dogs go ballistic as soon as they hear the cow bells starting. Thankfully it is daylight out now. So I exit my home with two 80lb dogs in tow at 6:45PM & return around 7:30 to avoid this cacophony. This has been going on for a FULL year now every day at 7 PM for between 5 - 10 minutes. All the other neighbours are horrified and come and go by their garages to avoid this neighbour. No one else I know in the city of Vancouver have this still going on. It is really horrid. ENOUGH. PLEASE STOP. How do I get them to stop? They do this nightly within 15' of my front door.
