Light inhibits the production of melatonin (our sleepy hormone), so longer daylight hours = tougher time falling and staying asleep. Exercise is great, and I happen to be someone who runs about 5 km every day. I still have insomnia. I’ve tried countless medications, but they’re sporadic at best, and all of them have undesirable side effects. I’ve recently begun using various types of CBD, CBG, and 1:1 THC / CBD oils, and so far they’re helping. But nothing really has ever made me sleep for longer than about 5 hours at one time.
