The only thing that really bothers me in life is that I can't personally, physically thank any musician, artist or anyone who has had a profound affect on my life.

Most of them have to be on some sort of social media at this point

Been thinking about this a lot during the pandemic. It's only been others' creative outputs (books, films, tv series, music) that has kept me sane. I wish the people who work so hard to create these knew what a big impact they sometimes have.
Ummm, yes you can.

Go find said artist and buy something from them. Not only have I confessed about this since the beginning of the pandemic, I have consistently gone to every band camp, website or whatever and purchased things directly from the artists. Every artist is hawking their stuff right now, and while it might have slightly changed over the last few months, the first few months I was getting personalized thank you's with my t-shirt, cd, shoes, comedy, and art purchases.
Ummmm

I do writing things. All creatives and artists I know LOVE hearing from people who connect with what we make, especially if it makes a difference or has an impact on you. Reach out on socials, you'll be surprised how grateful folks are to hear form you.

Musicians. Artists. They have now been made into products. Soulless and bogus.
I called Aretha Franklin's managers office one time

I wanted to know an addy where i could send a letter to thank Retha for her song "I Say as Little Prayer" that may have saved my life when i was really in bad shape. The office told me the person i needed to speak to was gone for a couple of weeks and i should call back. Sorry to say i didn't follow up and now Retha has passed to the Spirit World. Perhaps still, somehow someway I'll still get a chance to thank her

Some struggling artists are on Twitch. They are trying to get subscriptions from the masses to keep them above water. You can use your Amazon Prime subscription to subscribe to Twitches channels once a month for free. I can't bring myself to send money to people who are better off than I am. People have become beggars and some choosers. I stand for making it on your own.
