The best way

The best way to make yourself noticeable, is by NOT making yourself noticeable. When we are attracted to someone, or when we want to make a good impression at work, or simply get someone's attention, 99.9% of people would go out of their way to make themselves known. However, since this is most people's subconscious go-to strategy to get someone's attention, the best way to stand out is by not engaging in this behavior! When I go to the gym I see all these guys going out of their way to bend over in front of me, or work out really close to where I am, and even start dancing with their headphones on while working out! The only reason why you would dance and move your body to the beat of the song you are listening to while working out, is because you want to get someone's attention. However, I find that I'm normally attracted to guys who are quieter, and don't try to purposely draw attention to themselves by engaging in this childish behavior. Thoughts???

Ah, no. You may the exception to the rule, but in the jungle, that sh!t works. People are largely monkeys with language. Books are written about it. At baseline, more people will look at you, including women. By having a loud/brash appearance, you are signalling confidence and success. If a man shows her that he is extremely fit and successful, because he obviously catches the eyes of predators more readily as well. Think about it: rockstars dress outrageous, and makes them all the more attractive to women. There's a lesson there. A dude is even more confident when he's dressed well. Men are looking for an edge, any edge. They're programmed to propagate their gene pools, if they can acknowledge it or not. Most can't.

Although it’s probable that some guys do try to draw attention to themselves by performing, that doesn’t mean they all do. Lots of people dance / move to the music they’re working out to, because they like it and it’s a way to enter their own world in a place with zero privacy. Tbh, you sound a little conceited, assuming that everything is all about you.

Men are bending over in front of you and dancing just for you. You know they only go to the gym to see you right...women too just to be in your presence. You know the quiet ones secretly want you too. Everyone does.

Who cares who you're attracted to. It's not like women take the initiative to talk to those who are "NOT making yourself noticeable". Awesome! He's going to be secretly desired.

Some people dance to music because it's in their soul and they love music not to gain your stupid attention.
Get over yourself it's not always about you.
Understand ?

Interesting that gyms stayed open. Workouts can be done at home and outdoors. Maybe a lot of you go there to see or be seen. I agree with the other comments. A guy dancing at a gym doesn't necessarily mean it's directed at you. "Normally attracted to guys who are quieter", the quieter ones can be more problematic than that guy dancing and picking up equipment. There's introspective quiet and there's antisocial which can be hard to distinguish between the two. The antisocial ones draw people in with a "shy" mask but it's not their real persona. It's a disguise to cover up the mind games they play. Would you rather have your time wasted with that? I'd much rather the fun dancing guy.

Different strokes for different folks? Live and let live? Maybe ease up on the extreme judgmental attitude, op. If people want to dance, if people need or want attention, who cares? It takes all kinds. Let them be them, mind your business, and focus that energy on a new hobby, like stamp collecting.

I completely agree with you. Flashy dudes and even flashy women are too much into the shallow superficial surface image. They will pick a guy or girl based on how they look. Nothing wrong with looking good but "being" an engaged caring human-being is much more important.
All the best in your life
