OCD

I am addicted to stupid games on my iPhone. I spent literally all day yesterday playing scrabble and crossword puzzles and stayed up until 4am doing them as well. I can’t stop even when I get a headache and sore arms and hands from it. I deleted the apps just now. I’ve never been like this before, but after over a year of lockdowns and no travel I am literally going crazy!!

I'm kinda feeling the same. I've never been like that but since I've been at home for awhile I've got nothing else to do. I'm on some device more than I should be. Bad bad bad bad

Feels OP! I've deleted a number of game apps too.... one time I deleted about half the apps on my phone. Definitely made a difference. Now I'm off my phone and back to books, movies, music, and console gaming. ;)

I think as long as we
Recognize they’re stupid games and delete them frequently were not totally crazy???!

Really? OCD?

It's not OCD. Y'all need to stop attaching terms to behaviors when you don't even know what they really are. Really!
You, OP, had an internet addiction, likely brought on by stress. Your addiction, like all addictions, was a way to escape, to cope with something you don't want to face or deal with. Any one of us can be prone to this. Some of us get addicted to work, some to television, others to fitness. When a behaviour becomes obsessive and interferes with normal daily function, it becomes an addiction. Good on you to delete the apps and know that this is only the start.
Figure out what you're trying to avoid, talk it out with whoever is available that you trust, and face that issue, how you feel and possible ways to work on coping with or working on that issue.
Facing and talking about the underlying issue is important. It's how you regain control of you.

Actually if OP is up all night doing the same game over and over and can’t stop then that is OCD.
