Simple as that

I honestly cannot stand people that use big confusing sounding euphemisms and subjective clichés. It’s hard to understand what the they’re saying half the time. Try speaking to me in clear, plain simple English and maybe I’ll have way more respect for you. Stop talking like a politician.

Sounds like a comprehension issues, or crab bucket syndrome. So stop hating and get a life loser.

Gee, thanks for noticing. Any other life-changing revelations you like to reveal to me?

Are you saying you will object to me

wrapping a supercilious hyperbole around your onomatopoeia?

So what you’re saying…

is that you want me to dumb it down for you? Not going to happen. If you can’t be bothered to educate yourself, that’s not my problem. Unfortunately, the dumbing down of the entire planet is well on its way. Thankfully I’m old enough to not have to live to see just how bad it’s likely to get.

I have...

... being accused of using big words most of my life what I figured out is they meant any word that had more than two syllables. I have a friend who sits on British Columbia's provincial Court. His dad was a judge and one of the former British colonies before it became independent. In having conversations with him he's related to me that law is basically written at a grade 8 level or so a 13 year old can understand it. And if you can't understand things like statute law and believe me very few people can I mean it's almost comical watching people argue over what the plain language of statutes mean, this doesn't mean that everybody else is talking over you it means that you probably have passed English in high school but they basically have to pass everyone you know it's a relative thing.

I mean if I say to you

Stand and unfold yourself

That's from the beginning of Hamlet it just means who are you?

Leave it to all the ignorant idiots to start attacks at the OP. The OP is basically trying to prove a point that it’s difficult to understand people who knowingly confuse you with euphemisms. By all means, there’s nothing wrong with being educated but bombarding people with complicated euphemisms is very confusing. If you do not like what some people post on this forum, then why do you bother responding to it in the first place? What’s in it for you? What exactly do you gain out of slinging mud at someone? Sadly, if mud is thrown, it tends to stick. Stick that in your pipe and smoke it, Pinheads.

Im with the poster. I think smart people should also people able to communicate clearly to be called smart. Using jargon, sounds, to my ears like the speaker doesn't really know what it means fully, and maybe like the sound of it , so cant rephrase, especially if asked to clarify. Isn't it a basic language comprehension exercise at school that starts ' write in your own words' its not, say the same words in a different order. Ive had this with a pal, he'll repeat what a certain popular youtube ex psychologist says in convos, and I can hear, just in language patterns that sound very different to his normal mode of talk, so i suspect a repeated learnt phrase, Ill ask what he means by that, and he'll say the same words, more or less, and not be able to clarify at all. I'm 100% with poster, less jargon, more understanding.
