Not to be too obnoxious, but if this was a woman going radio silent with a man then complaining about the escalation being rejected you’d be figuratively drawn and quartered in the square of public opinion.

With all respect, you should respect his decision and move on. He doesn’t owe you an explanation. He is free to make his own choices and not be answerable for them, no different than if he was a woman, gender non-conforming, or non-binary person.

Yeah, the boomers that I know really couldn't care less of what's taking place with the environment despite watching news reports on the 'climate crises'. I'm not joking, when the news is over they go right back to discussing cruises and car purchases. It doesn't even register in their brains what's taking place on earth. One I know claims he was a hippy in the early 70s. He sits all day in his enormous home and own three cars. What a mess we're in.
