posted August 3rd, 2021 at 1:45 AM
Had a long day almost forgot, it was late night I figured we could sneak around without a leash, his hair sparkled he prancing from garden to garden and by the time I realized it was real I screamed it was tooo late the skunk sprayed I thought Charlie had the leash on So I bend down to somehow get the dog away , the skunk was chill I was not,, all the way home we tried so hard to blame each other only to bathe in vinegar after midnight.

Light some candles, draw a tomato juice bath, listen to “Moonlight Desires.”
Although the skunk spray sucks for OP and Charlie I like how vividly this confession is written.

You know about the skunk experience!!
Pretty sure that was just a "rope appearing as if it were a snake" instance, buuuut I didn't wanna take any chances.

I love you.

Well that was weird
By the way tomato juice is a myth and so is vinegar.
I keep a skunk kit with rubber gloves, dish soap, hydrogen peroxide and baking soda. Mix with water
Oof

That’s nasty. Not sure why you’re being downvoted, OP; you certainly have my best wishes for the next 8-12 months of finding bizarre smells!

Tomato juice is not a myth! There may be better solutions out there, but that one worked for me. When it happened to me and my dog, I ran out and bought every can of tomato juice they had in the store. The minute I cracked open the first one over the tub, the smell actually dissipated enough that I could stand breathing while I bathed him. It took out about 80% of the smell on the first round. I would have been hooped that night without it.

They are adorably cute. One of the cutest ever. :) I love the way they waddle around.

Off leash dogs are illegal. You got what you deserved.
Oh no…

Been there. Done that… it was the tail end of the spray (no pun intended) so the smell dissipated in a few days and a very long few doggy baths!

helped my dog when she got it bad in the face. Rubbed it on and she calmed down immediately.
