The L Word

I haven't "fallen in love" for 14 years. Anything after has just been an arrangement or compromise.

The Biology of Love

Aug 2, 2021 at 6:06pm

Lust is based in Testosterone or estrogen. Attraction, dopamine, norepinephrine, and serotonin. Attachment, oxytocin, and vasopressin. Our evolutionary biology makes it that these chemicals are in abundance when we are young and in our prime, so we can propagate our gene pools, settle down and have the energy to raise kids. As we get older, they start to decline, not to mention we get a little jaded by life, so it gets difficult to find love as we get older. Life on earth, what a trip.

At least you can say you've experienced falling in love in your lifetime. Many don't.

when you are tired of life, it's near impossible to feel love. life is brimming with romance if you let yourself glide along with it. slowly but surely, one can recover.

For some there’s only one

Sometimes we only have one big love in our lives and after that the rest of our relationships are more about companionship. Things evolve as we age. Our priorities change depending on our circumstances. I’ve come to realize that we often will have relationships that only work for a specific time period based on what was happening in our life at the time we met that person. Sometimes they last even when that situation has changed, but only if both people grow and change together and are deeply committed to each other. If they aren’t, the relationship has served its purpose and it’s time to move on. That letting go part is often extremely painful, but it’s a natural part of life.

People are so good at giving useless advice.
"And you got tired eyes".
Rude to someone out there.
Glide along , sure like that will happen.
So calm and patient. Lol
