The vaccine alienated me from my family

Choosing to get the vaccine and being honest about it has made me persona non grata. It hurts.

Blame the pm and his divisive media. Your body your choice. Your family members body their choice. It's a private personal medical decision. No second class citizens in Canada! We are all Canadian. We are all free.

I went the other way, same result. I should be the one fearing them, but I don't. I guess I'll just go eat worms.

Sad

You made the responsible decision. It’s so sad that so many people are so selfish, and that your family are part of them. I’m continually astounded by the stupidity of such a large number of the population. I truly thought that we would have developed further than this as a society, but it’s apparent that instead, people are dumber than ever before. Anyone who would rather believe some morons on the internet than the actual medical experts around the world is clearly delusional. We have technology to thank for the attitude about “my body, my choice” bs. Wrong! It’s not your choice anymore when you’re “choosing” to possibly get sick with a deadly virus and / or pass it onto someone else. It’s not your choice to use up the medical facilities so that others have to look after your dumb ass, and so that the medical staff are so exhausted from looking after people like you that they’re quitting in droves and therefore not available to look after the people who might really need them for all of the other medical issues that people have to deal with. God I’m sick of hearing about people like them! Grow the hell up and get the damned vaccination ffs. But Op, you did the right thing and there’s a majority of others that did too. Maybe your family just needs someone like you to smarten them up.

Don't feel bad

You made the right decision. These idiots refusing masks and vaccines running around claiming 'freedom' are locking us up with their incessant stupidity. I guess that's their ultimate freedom - death.
Hold your head up high.

Huh?

Seriously? What are you considered some kind of traitor to a cause now, rather than a someone who simply made a personal decision? Hard to fathom.

Ugh

Ugh, honestly. This makes me cringe. So would getting a shot for the measles or polio also piss ofd and alienate your family? Anti vaxxers (who don’t have some legit medical reason for not getting vaccinated) are the modern day “snowflakes”. A bunch of fucking whiney baby children who are spoiled anti science fucking morons. Just your typical “nobody tells me what to do” attitude, they don’t trust or believe in highly educated people, like doctors, infectious disease experts, climate scientists (while their province burns in front of their eyes and we can’t go outside due to smoke in the air) These aren’t the Tuskegee experiments, and we all wear seatbelts, obey speed limits and drink chlorinated water right? People love science when it creates iphones, video games, oil drilling technology but oh, heaven forbid when science pushes us to get vaccines or maybe eat less meat.

Downfall of the planet, is due to people like these. The stupid masses. If I had a binary choice of rulers, between the smart ruling over the stupid, or the stupid ruling over the smart, I’d take the smart people any day of the year.
