me myself and i

i feel so lonely, alone, isolated, stuck, trapped, empty, lost, unconnected, detached from this awfully painful world of suffering :( i hope that the Rapture is true because i am so looking forward to leaving this hellish world for heaven. It is hard for me to keep myself going, but i have no choice but to keep myself going. Whence we are born into this world, we are trapped to live in it until our day to leave it through death or Rapture. Thus, i call being born into this world a 'life sentence', because we have no choice but to live our lives as best as we are able, rich or poor, disabled or abled, depressed or happy, ... no matter our circumstances. if you can relate to this, please post a comment. God Bless you

I understand that struggle. You feel like you're about to be swept away and drown in the storm, but don't lose your focus. You know where your focus should be, and it's not on the storm. It'll be okay.

I can relate

On top of all that’s going on with the pandemic, the political climate, etc. I have never felt more debilitating pessimism, resentment, and existential angst in my life.

Taking into account climate change and our failure to recognize and honour the interconnectedness of all things on earth, we may be in a stage of “The Rapture” at this very moment.

Honestly

Today I found my self saying the exact same thing. Trying to keep my chin up. Maybe its all the weed. Maybe it was the 24hour relationship. The abandonment. People always ask me why I'm so happy. How? My parents raised me on hard core drugs. Trying to keep a sane level minded head.. was pretty much doomed from the start. With that embedded on all the surrounding educational facilities from A very early age. I can honestly say I'm not Destined to go far in life. Maybe fall into fent like the ones who raised me. Or slave like the ones who tried.

I recall reading an article by a sociologist, where he studied two twin brothers raised in horrific conditions by their parents.

The first twin was a homeless drug addict and criminal, in and out of jail, etc. The doctor asked him how his life had spiraled out of control to which he replied "our alcoholic parents beat us, starved us, and abused us in every possible way"

The second twin was a self made guy- worked hard, worked smart, started businesses, had a wife and new baby. The doctor asked him how he had done so well by age of 28 and he replied:

"our parents beat us, starved us, and abused us in every possible way"

Maybe...

you're feeling this way because you believe in the Rapture in the first place?! Not a lot of people do. That would definitely leave you feeling pitted against a lot of the world, like religion loves to do. Try to open your mind, get out there, talk to people, research how likely it is to happen on its own. Maybe the point isn't to wait for death, the point is to live.

OP, you are someone who clearly follows a typical Christian belief system, yes? Maybe there's a reason why God put you in this particular life. To deal with the things you have to deal with, and learn the lessons that can be learned from it. To put it in terms you will understand, you should ask Him for guidance and to give you the strength you need to overcome the problems you have in your life. To simply stand idly by and wait for death or a rapture is a waste of life. "As ye sow, so shall ye reap".

I wish I knew exactly what to tell you, but all I can say is the answers are out there (or within yourself). You just need to get on the right path to understanding. One thing I will say is, no matter how bad things may seem, someone else always has it much worse. Be thankful for the good things in your life.
