Where are men overly represented?
posted September 20th, 2021 at 10:58 PM
Confession part: I’m a straight female in my 40s that hasn’t had sex in several years. Online dating isn’t for me. Help wanted part: I work in a female-dominated industry (90%+ female, with queer women overly represented). This would be a dream come true if I were the latter, but I am not. Does anyone have any tips on where (hobbies, professions, etc.) there are too many straight or bi men? I need to go there and soak in some testosterone. I’m started to get a skewed perception of Vancouver from my bubble.

I think men make up around 70% of homeless in Canada.

Are you saying that you're around too many girls all the time and you need people in the world who are men?! Vote Conservative :)

If ever there was a place where men are “overly represented”, it’s in any level of government.

“Too many”?? K… take a hike. Maybe give your head a shake? Hope you don’t run into a toxic feminine beehive!!

The trick to finding the perfect person is finding their natural habitat. Nurturing dad types are at playgrounds after school playing grounders. Go there and jog, or do yoga. Active guys can be found at Whitecaps games or on fields playing themselves. Get on a
coed softball or ultimate team. If you like cooking, take a class and sidle up to a guy taking it too. Classes, clubs and meetups are all good.

When you send or shun men away or into a corner… don’t be surprised when they don’t return. How does that Marilyn Monroe quote go again?

You could join a mixed-gender sports team (even the mixed ones are 50-70% male usually). Or join a hiking buddy group (there are plenty online). Or even the local kink scene if that's your jam.

Go fishing where the fish are

And if you are fishing for a quality life partner; suggest you get involved with volunteering to help the needy because good / for real people tend to be found doing that :-)
