Yes, we are. My husband died, and since then, married friends don't want me near their husbands, and people refer to me as "single" (FYI, I'm widowed. It's a thing, people! Not single!)
Women who are not attached to a living, breathing man are still considered dangerous, worthless, and not quite enough on our own. Peripherals. Leftovers. Throwaways. Disposable.
We haven't really changed as a species in my humble opinion and in my lived experience. At least we are no longer burned at the stake, right?

I agree, the movie is misogynistic, especially where the husband has to avenge his wife's assault. The movie clearly portrays that women are too weak to defend themselves, are unable to seek vengeance on their own, and need to rely upon a man to do her killing.

How do you think single guys feel? If we're not married etc we should "man up" and take responsibility, even if her kids aren't ours. If we don't, we are denigrated as "incels" as no woman would want us anyways, so we'd better shape up or ship out and be the man that women want to date. We shouldn't complain, because to do so is seen as weak. I could go on and on.
Oh,and if we disagree with anything a woman says- especially if it's completely false- we're labelled as misogynists and "incels".

As for the stake burning, women were almost never tortured nor killed- that was the sole bastion of men.

... is a social engineering turn. So within the last hundred and fifty years or so people who realize that mass media can be used to socially engineer rapid change in human behaviour. The way this works is there's a behaviour that identified by an elite usually within the university system and then this Elite tags it with a pejorative like misogynist racist necrophobic Etc. Then CNN and CBC and the Georgia straight and all of the newspapers will start talking it out. Then you usually get a legislative or policy in corporations that prohibits the behaviour. The best example of this relates to what you call misogyny or sexual harassment. So because there's a consequence like losing one's job it doesn't get done in the workplace. Now this doesn't necessarily mean that the attitude has been eliminated or even that that's desirable. And then also in the media you won't see the other side portrayed except negatively.

Whether all of this is good or bad is another question than whether it's done. That's the basic way it works there are Elite that decides on a policy that's been disseminated through mass media and enforcement. This doesn't mean that the behaviour that it creates through this system of surveillance and punishment is sustainable without that surveillance and Punishment. The best example of this is organized religion. Up until around the mid-nineteenth century give or take their was compulsory Church attendance in many countries and then from that point on it gradually abated. Canada had it Sunday shopping laws until I think the 1980s or so but just because people had to take Sunday off didn't mean they went to church. So now that we have none of those restrictions Church attendance is very much in Decline. So you see a system of social engineering that created a behaviour that was sustained for hundreds of years but then as soon as the social engineering apparatus decays the natural behaviour re-emerges.

Generally though men and women do need one another or a woman needs another woman or really people lived in extended kin groups with adoption and other things to round out the numbers for the vast bulk of History. So if you don't have anyone else be at man or woman or really an extended family you're probably dependant on money and government more than anything

But guys on those platforms aren't even allowed to discuss why it's better to focus on your career, rather then get married and support a family.
