Raise your kids better

A bunch of little shits at the park called me a lesbian yesterday. There is nothing wrong with being a lesbian but I'm not going to have that conversation with someone else's 8 year old. What bothered me was this older kid about 12 years old leading his little wolf pack trying to make them bully along with him. Snickering, calling me fat. I said that's not very nice. He mimicked me and said, "Fuck you!". I turned around and said. "No, fuck you!!" . His face dropped. Wasn't expecting that I guess. Not my proudest moment but it just came out. I asked him if he liked being a bully and if his friends liked being friends with a bully. They all went quiet his face turned red. Either embarrassed or wanted to punch me lol probably the latter.. I'd like to think what I said sunk in but they probably just called me a fat lesbian bitch as I walked away. Should have minded my business though. If I ever catch my daughter being a bully there will be very serious consequences. Teach your kids not to be little assholes.

that you were able to call out this behavior right away, right as it was happening. If it were me, I'd be stunned into silence & be trying to blink back tears. I really commend your ability to identify and name bullying immediately. I can remember being bullied in Kindergarten. How sad that children, even very young children, are capable of cruelty, weaponizing words like "lesbian" or "fat." Little Misogynists in training. One can only imagine the kind of misogynist filth they hear at home. I'm sorry that happened to you Op. I'm sorry you were disrespected. But the way you handled it was correct. It was the right thing to do to call out this behavior as it happened. And teach your daughter to do the same. To stand up to bullies. Bravo!

It’s about time some put these sociopathic little bastards in their place. They made their bed, they’ll sleep in it. You did the right thing calling them out on their ignorance and stupidity, something their idiot parents clearly failed to do a long time ago. And in doing so, they failed miserably. Poor parenting is the main cause. Sure, blame it on easy money, poverty, mental illness, drugs etc. but at the end of the day the responsibility rest on parents. Unfortunately, in today’s world rarely is anyone ever held accountable anymore so people choose to play the victim card instead.

They are just some bored kids saying stupid stuff that's all .....I guess you were a angel when you were young lol...besides there's more important things be concerned about like global warming & all the damage it's causing or the systemic racism & history of colonialism here in Canada.

Good for You

Yup, little shits were shocked to be accountable. Of course they choose their victims and only say these things when they think they’ll get away with it. Good that you surprised them.

Yeah, sure, you don't have any unresolved issues at all. You're completely emotionally stable without any baggage to randomly impose on various remotely-related situations.
Yikes.

no, you seriously...

Dumb generation

That is the result from being raised with iPad and parents who act like their kids are untouchable.
