Sensory overload
posted December 3rd, 2021 at 6:08 PM
In the last 2 weeks I’ve noticed the roads are full of cars in the morning and now the Canada line is always busy and I’m now stuffed into a bus packed with people. Obviously things are going back to normal but was it always like this? The last 2 years my brain has forgotten and it doesn’t feel good. Might be time to move out of the city.

The city was intensely busy in the BT. I recall being on busses packed like sardines. I recall traffic backed up 3 kilometres getting onto Arthur Liang bridge. I put up with the concrete and fossil fuel vehicles. But I dream of silence and the sound of wind blowing through the trees.

Vancouver transit is a shambles. For a city that claims to be world-class, the cities transit has more in common with Kiev than Taipei. It's a no wonder, so many people buy cars out of frustration.

Got off at the last stop in Mission Town. Walked around, friendly people, slower pace of life. Found a rental at 1/2 the cost of living in Vancoocoo. Lots of good jobs out here. I visit family in Van but it challenging to be there. Busy busy rushy rushy. Feels like gross sensory overload.

complaining about the pandemic, taking transit, the weather, etc etc. Please leave town asap as it is quite apparent you need to move back to Toronto or Hong Kong and rethink your life as we don’t deserve people like you.

You know that person personally, maybe they were born in Van? Many people have moved to Van, only to feel duped and fleeced by the city. They didn't move here to sample the local "culture" and move on, they moved here with hopes of making it permanent.

No I wasn't born in Van, but I lived, worked and raised a family in Van when you were still in diapers. Van used to be nicknamed "the beautiful little village by the sea." Then the greed creep$ put $ before common sense and human decency.

There’s a couple vloggers on YT that are in Kiev. Their transit is brand new. Arrives every 10 mins. And a ticket cost approximately 50 cents CDN. Where do our tax dollars go?
