I have a fear of skiing because I don't want to run into a tree or get eaten by a bear.

…you could also fall off the ski lift, or over a cliff.

I'm 60 but I still ski like a 12 year old: FAST! I can't seem to help it. I go snowshoeing instead of risking serious injury. Too many people on the slopes anyway.

either on the Grouse grind, hiking Seymour or snowshoeing at Cypress with sneakers and fashionable jeans. Perhaps try Switzerland for winter sports, less bears more snobs…kinda like you. Beware of the rain, you might drown.
