Well you put them to a test w/o caring what THEY are going through I bet you find ppl don't like that!

Whether someone texts back or not? I'm glad my friends are more forgiving. Half the time my phone is left in the car overnight, or I don't notice a text was sent.

I feel your loneliness. And hear your pain. Know that many are struggling during these times, and sometimes replying to a text or email or whatever is not something everyone can do right away. I think everyone is trying to just make it through, and some of the people you contacted may be at home, alone, whether physically or in spirit, in tears, dreading what 2022 may bring ‍♀️. Don't let a text back be a sign of love or friendship. Grace and space may just be something we have to be willing to share with each other during this season.

That's a kneejerk reaction but I get it; I've been alone over the holidays and only one or two "friends" have reached out in any meaningful way. It's very hurtful, esp as texts take less than a minute to send. Most people are going through so much stuff right now and though it doesn't excuse it, you just never know. This is my biggest challenge and makes me feel like leaving Vancouver all the time.

Seriously. Grow up. Your “friends”, and I say “friends” because apparently they won’t be anymore if they don’t pass your test, aren’t there for your random tests of friendship. Act like an adult and move on if that’s what you need. No test required. And I’m willing to bet, you’d fail your own tests should they have tried something so juvenile. Grow up and move on.
