Totally hear ya. We need more positive energy in these tough times. I often put on one of my favourite children’s records from 1970…Sesame Street original cast album! Back in the day when Big Bird was as dumb as a rock, Oscar the Grouch was toxic orange, Cookie Monster was fatter with no name and Kermit was this sarcastic olive green frog. Not to mention good old Mr. Pooper…that’s Hooper Big Bird! Hooper!!!

used to say to Look around for the helpers in tough situations. There are always lots of people helping and to make that your focus.

Great song when my children were little. Now they have moved to other places and I haven't been hugged in years.

I was part of the generation that got this stuff.

Most of my peers ain't got no teeth, can't hunt, can't fish, oh, but they "love love love."

Can't eat love.

We live in such a love and touch-deprived culture, especially in Vancouver I've found. And celebration-deprived -- it's all separated tiny boxes of people, most of who emanate morose "stranger danger".

It's past the point of collective insanity, in crystal clear hindsight. If I realized this (and a couple other things) properly 13 years ago I might have escaped this place before being subjected to so much of it.

Alas...
