Get me out of here

What is the point of mask mandates at offices if you're allowed to remove your mask at your desk? Does the virus choose not to spread once this happens?? Does it magically behave differently? We're all coming back to the office in the middle of another wave no wonder everyone wants to go remote

In my office, people used to do that, walk around masked but go mask free at their desks [open concept too] but they've now abandoned wearing them all together. I wear mine still out of personal choice. My boss said "you're wearing them because you feel you'll keep others safe, is that right?" I said "no, I'm wearing it to keep myself safe from everyone else."

I truly don't give a rats what others say about that, or about masks in general - that they work, they don't work, this study, that paper yada yada. That's all we've heard since the beginning - different sides competing for air time about what is "fact". The bottom line for me is that right now it still feels right for me to continue to wear my mask indoors. It'd be nice if others would too but ultimately, I don't give them much thought. This thing'll be over when it's over.

Life so scary

Your fear and hypochondriac traits are a bigger issue. You wear a mask to protect others. If they don’t have covid, there’s no need. I’d worry more about your thought processing and logic.

Same same but different.

I like how I could walk through a restaurant order food to go and wait inside for it.

It was a relief to know that If I sat down a QR code protected me but If I stood up it didn't.

I've sat quit a bit.

I 100% do not trust anyone in my office regarding Covid protocols. There’s been 3 outbreaks in addition to my boss catching it one week ago. Thankfully I am remote (I made it so because I don’t want to work alongside anyone there). The “pandemic is over” mouth breathers can have at it.

I would prefer to be home not so much due to the virus, but to avoid the awful traffic in this city.

How do you know someone is not in the early stages/asymptomic and can still spread or just do not yet know they have covid? Shaming statements like yours are partly why we're in this mess. Just sit TF down.

Henry and Dix are morons. Universities and cities in the US are bringing back mask and Quebec had the sense to not drop the mask mandate. Time to can Henry.
