I used to dream of someone because I thought things would work out between us. It's been so long I know it won't happen, but they are still there every night haunting me. What's the point brain???

Your brain is in love with them.
My brain is in love with a woman who is in love with me but she can't admit it to herself. Sucks but who's got the time for this crap, not me.

The haunters

can only haunt those they can keep in fear of haunting. They don't want you to know that when you know, you know their only power is to generate fear. This is a world of challenges but it is also a beautiful world of opportunity. Learn to get over taking things personally, get busy and call in what you need. When one door closes, another door always opens to those who keep positive.

This is..

I have the same problem. People say all kinds if different things to explain it, though it doesnt stop the dishes from flying out of the cupboards.

Our society needs to understand that by pushing only “positivity” is accepted/tolerated. But life for humans has always involved balancing the good with the bad/negative. I don’t think most realize… if you pretend the negative doesn’t exist and bury your mind online… Something extremely ugly will emerge. Not a question of “if” but “when”.

I'm sure there are skeptics, and I will speak from experience. When someone is on my mind, it's always because they're thinking of me. I think that happens between people all the time.
I think you have a special connection where you both have the same thoughts that things were supposed to work and you both can't let go because it was supposed to work. Then they think of you because you think of them, and because you then think of them, they pick up on it and then have you on their mind, so they think of you. You pick up on it and so on, a constant loop because you both expected things to work and, despite whatever seemed hopeless, refuse to give up. True soulmates.
Test it. Call them. I'll bet you that they will confirm it if you come clean.

I still think of someone that I love all the time, even though I know it’s over. But that’s not stopping me from accepting the reality and doing everything I can to move forward. I think we need to be kind to ourselves. When we have a broken heart it takes time to heal. I acknowledge that the feelings are still there and there are going to be those times when I miss him so much it takes every ounce of courage and resolve not to pick up the phone. But I’m committed to a better future for myself. Maybe you haven’t allowed yourself to properly grieve the loss and that’s why you’re still so haunted? I believe that the only way to really heal from anything is to truly acknowledge the reality of it, including your feelings and heartbreak. Once you honour those emotions, you can process them, and they will gradually be replaced by something new. Just let it happen.
