Silver Heels

When it comes to Fleetwood Mac, I’m not gonna lie. I never liked Stevie Nicks. Her songs just don’t do it for me. Call me an old bluesman, but I’ve always preferred the band in the early days when Bob Welch was their lead guitarist and wrote tons of amazing songs like Emerald Eyes, Hypnotized, Angel and Silver Heels. Bob was an underrated guitarist who never got the appreciation that he truly deserved.

Two completely different bands. Hypnotized is a great song

That's okay. I never got over Brian Jones leaving the Rolling Stones.

Not salacious enough, though

I have always hated the "okay boomer" comment but I think it definitely applies here.

The old Fleetwood Mac you say?

Are you referring to the band I saw in the PNE Forum in 1972? Savoy Brown and Long John Baldrey backing up? And Bob Welsh on guitar, of course….are you talkin’ about those guys?

Stevie is arguably the greatest heartbreaker of rock and roll. Your post has me wondering....
Did she break your heart,
and make you break down
and shatter your illusions of love?
Well, is it over now?
And do you know how
to pick up the pieces and go home?

Hell yes! That's exactly what the OP is talking about. Been listening to their old stuff from the very early 70s. Love those classic blues styles. Bob Welch remade his Fleetwood Mac songs on an album many years later. I thought it sounded pretty good! I enjoyed listening to it. Sad how Bob took the gentleman's way out ten years ago. May his spirit and music live on forever. And to Get it Right: Ebony Eyes and Emerald Eyes are two different songs that Bob wrote when he was in the band. Google is your friend.
