I really liked the books, a good tearjerker for sure. But the character of Anne is an incessant talker, so with the actual audio I found it truly irritating. (Maybe just in this most recent series vs. the old.) The show was good, but I couldn't get past that endless chatter, even as a viewer vs. direct recipient!
