Pandemic ponch.

Pre pandemic and probably the last 15 years I've been pretty fit. I hit 40 just before the pandemic and was pretty happy with who I was. 2 years later I have a punch. Maybe it's a 40's ponch, maybe it is a pandemic ponch. All I know is that it is not going anywhere. I've tried the gym, less, more, extreme, etc. I've tried dieting. Eating more. Eating nothing. No affect. Most of my is fit except this belly ponch. When I watching TV it's jiggly, but when I stand up it's... well it's still there. like a fanny pack. Guess I got to accept it.

Don’t accept ill health and early death. Fight for yourself man. Calorie counting and exercise work eventually, there is no miracle.

Stress reduction and getting enough sleep could help, maybe? Easier said than done, I know.

We all put on weight differently, and also differently through time. Many women around 40 start storing fat on their arms. Cutting long enough will still get rid of your stomach fat, but maybe it will require more weight loss than it used to, and other places (like your face) might look gaunt.

Weight is a subjective state

I have a paunch and my doctor says I could lose a few but my blood work is normal.
The propaganda about linking healthy weight to life expectancy is arbitrary, you will live until you die no matter your age, height, weight, gender and so on.
Just enjoy the time you have while your here.

Tips

May 19, 2022 at 9:41pm

-move yourself everyday, as much as you can (take the stairs, walk after dinner, ride your bike)
-eliminate (or greatly reduce) white sugar, white flour, alcohol
-drink mostly water or tea (no juice or pop or milk)

Strict diet and exercise with remove said paunch.

Most ppl have gained weight during the pandemic; it’s not just you.

Obviously you haven't tried hard enough.

So like most people you "accept" your oncoming old age.

I think this Gluten Free regimen has merit

May 19, 2022 at 11:56pm

Our ancestors have walked this planet for millions of years and they were hunter gatherers. They did not eat grains until they mistakenly entered the agricultural era and started selectively breeding grasses into wheat, barley, rye and oats. Our DNA at present is not equipped to digest glutens and it is a major cause of disease and ponch. So either smarten up or suck it up.
