Semantics of partnership

I have a visceral reaction when someone refers to their husband as their "hubby". DISGUSTING!

Come-on, that's harmless, I hate it when someone uses "my old lady" or "my old man". Jeez, it's the 21st century.

Hubby is an interesting word

It has the 'Hub' of a wheel at our centre. Perhaps it should be the Women called hubby because those in the know, know women are really the strongest and most mature and reliable of our species. That is actually the Indigenous way. In community affairs everyone gets their full say but if an agreement can not be reached, the final say goes to the GrandMothers ... A'Ho

Current Squeeze.

I hate when men refer to their wife as “the wife” as if she’s an object. I cringe when I hear it. Language does matter!
