Broke, fat and old

I held onto a memory of an ex through the last few years that kept me grinding away at my personal growth. Making money, gaining stability, growing mature, staying fit... then I ran into them and holy shit they got changed. Maybe the joke is on me as a single, but they married into what appears to be a trailer park life style covered in trashy tattoo's and hipster make up. I guess people do change.

Well, that just goes to show you that money, a sense of stability, and looks aren't everything to everyone. Hopefully you'll keep continuing on your path to maturity.

You writing; "They got changed".

Moving from one trailer park to another isn't much of a change.

I watched a fantasy film where the young man goes off adventuring in order to win the affections of his object of desire. By the time he returns he's improved himself so much they're no longer remotely a match. I would be thankful that this person inspired you to grow so much. It's unfortunate they stagnated though.
