Get help

I was walking to work on Tuesday morning when some young deranged schizophrenic pulled a knife on me. He looked like he could pass for a young guy in his mid 20s. I called 911 and all the cops did was “talk to him.” I’m getting sick and tired of lame bleeding hearts excusing these “mentally ill” people for their bad behaviour. Some ignorant idiot told me it’s better to call Fraser Health Authority since is a mental health issue, but I digress. There are some toxic people out there that don't deserve any sympathy whatsoever. It’s up to that person’s parents to get help for their own son. That’s their responsibility to call Fraser Health but it’s up to them. How can you help any family that refuses to help themselves? Pulling knives on people and threatening them with violence is nowhere near acceptable. Take responsibility for your actions.

How did you know he had schizophrenia?

Are you a psychiatrist? Were you qualified to make that diagnosis?
Do you even know what schizophrenia is?
Or is that just the slur word you use whenever somebody is behaving erratically?
His anti-social behaviour may have actually been related to his need for whatever drug he may have been addicted to.

My niece was diagnosed with schizophrenia at age 19, more than 20 years ago now. She takes medication to control it and has a pretty peaceful life.
She is also one of the sweetest, most gentle people I know. She has a great love for nature and animals, and would never hurt another living creature. She became a vegetarian as a child and has stuck with it.
I also know how hurt her feelings get when she hears ignorant, abusive fools like yourself hurling words like that in anger or hate.

Realize that if you do have a child in the future, they could just as easily develop the same brain chemistry problem as my niece. It usually presents itself between 17 and 24 years of age. Out of the blue.
Educate yourself.
