With the sale of the GS. While it’s good to have a space for the genuine folks in the area to share thoughts and feelings, there’s also a lot of under-the-radar cyberbullying that goes on here. Tip for the new mods: please keep an eye out for similar language and writerly voice used on posts and replies about disparate topics. Many of these are disingenuous in their content and intended to harass and sometimes threaten vulnerable people who can recognize the code being used. Please ensure this is a safe space and not a playground for covert abuse and coercive control.

Really you don't say.
Personally I feel you have to take everything online with a grain of salt cause most of it is bullshit.
It's more for entertainment purposes but some people just post stupid ass shit.
I like to talk about world issues and things that need changing but they don't always make the cut.
Someone post about wacking their dog off or something rude and that made it thru.
Weird World we live in now.
We need to save our planet and I want to know why nobody cares ?
You know we are running out of water all over the world ! Let's talk about that !

For the mods: one helpful addition to the site to aid safety could be a flagging system.

For example, a small dropdown added to each comment where we could anonymously report any suspected harassment. YouTube has a similar system.

I think if there is an anonymous platform being offered, there should be some steps taken to ensure it is safe and that users have a direct line to the Straight staff regarding suspicious activity.

for the interesting, intriguing, mysterious or otherwise meaningful non-mundane posts and comments to return. Maybe they never will, but they also might. They happened not too infrequently a number of years ago, anyways.
