Then why haven't they found a cute for cancer otr ALS or autism or neurodevelopmental problems or Alzheimers or blindness Maybe people should put their faith in Jesus instead of unproven mumble jumble made up stuff & live a holy life for Him.

No Absolutes

Science tells us this. Yet the view of religion through atheism is always absolute. Which directly contradicts science 101. WW 1 was the war where science was used to slaughter millions horribly. WW 2 was the war science was used to slaughter millions horribly. Everything in moderation. Science and religion.

Science...

(and technology) takes time to advance, and usually a lot of research and testing/experimentation, not to mention resources and inquisitive, skilled people. It isn't perfect, and its practice in certain directions doesn't automatically or instantaneously resolve problems or fix or cure things -- but it can resolve and improve a hell of a lot, given enough time and ethical implementation.

Without science you wouldn't have the computer/device you typed and posted that on, the internet to convey it, flushing toilets and working plumbing, harnessed electricity for beneficial uses, certain effective cures or interventions for a number of (but as you've pointed out, far from all) expressions of dis-ease/illnesses, or an effective and generally reliable method to find out and distinguish various kinds of actualities from falsehoods.

Science is very useful, and can be very beneficial. Science and certain technologies are also *extremely* mis-usable, and are very frequently mis-used, sometimes to incredibly cruel, ecocidal and disastrous outcomes. It's about as good as the ones developing, practicing and applying it, and human beings are imperfect - often very fallible, at times tribalist, prone to biases, and not always ethical. That doesn't mean that we should discard science and technology altogether.

Re Jesus -- although it seems like the majority of scholars who've heavily researched antiquity do agree that there probably was a real, physically embodied historical Jesus, there is also a chance he may not even have existed as such at all, instead being an amalgamation of different myths, writings, events and experiences that happened through multiple people, which were retold, rewritten and retranslated over time. In any case, if there was a real Jesus, he ... um, died. And I don't see either the historical person nor the essence/spirit/consciousness of Jesus actually doing much real saving or liberating of people (or nonhuman beings) on this planet. I could be wrong though.

Re "proof" -- science doesn't actually deal with proof, but true science is (or at least, is supposed to be) evidence-based. Although proof is subjective in nature (requiring personal acceptance), having strong, reliable, consistent, repeatable and intersubjectively verifiable evidence + accurate interpretations is about as close as we can get to proof. :)

Ummmmm

Based on what you've said you seem unaware that if you really believe what you've said you must also think that Jesus created these things in the first place.

Thanks for proving, once again, that Catholics are the dumbest people on earth. Brilliant.

God is a scientist

Science can be used for good or bad. Through science great miracles can be achieved but on the flipside also great evil. It's always a good idea to follow the money trail behind whatever science is being pushed and see who is profiting and benefiting from it. Chlorine dioxide cures pretty much everything you just said but it'll never be pushed since it's so cheap and easy for anyone to make. No money to make in cures. Cures mean no returning drug customers.

Why haven't efforts to put your hands together and talk to the sky found a cure for cancer, ALS, autism, neurodevelopmental problems, Alzheimer's and/or blindness? Because science...and you might want to check again because there's been lot of advances to address many of these health issues you asked about.
Maybe people who wallow in lazy ignorance should crack open and read a book or two regarding science and medicine to understand both how it all works and how far we have come in research instead of pushing and relying on unproven mumble jumble made up stuff such as exclusively "living a holy life for Him" while rejecting what actually works.
Also...did you ever think that your "God" does His/Her/Their best work through people like scientists and doctors in answer to those prayers?
I thought so.
Stay in school.

Why

Jan 2, 2023 at 12:05pm

Do children die. It’s because Jesus likes it. Otherwise he would stop it.

Also god is all knowing right? So he caused these children to be born knowing they would die as children.

What about the ones who go on to get kidnapped or molested.

What about by preists.

That’s god baby.
