I messaged a lady from the ghost of Christmas past years ago. I was hoping we could get together for a cup of steamy coffee, just to clear the air and relax. I’m not looking for a girlfriend, by all means. Just a friendly meaningful conversation about life itself. Let’s be real and genuine.

A friend and I were just laughing about guys from the past that just randomly message us after not speaking for years; decades even. This seems to be a male thing because I don’t know any women who do that. It was our conclusion that the guys that do that are fantasizing about who they think we are / were, and not in any way being realistic about who we are now. As if that woman from the past just remains frozen in time exactly as she was in their fantasy. As for me, any guy from my distant past is going to remain there forever. I’ve ignored the ones who messaged me and have zero interest in meeting for any reason.
