Unsafe in our city.

Last night, my car was stolen. It’s not the first time and probably won’t be the last. I had some security devices on it, but obviously they don’t do much. Although this totally sucks, I’m not really writing to complain about it, but to confess that it has reminded me of how unsafe I feel in my city. I don’t live somewhere that is considered “sketch”. I used to feel very safe here, but lately it seems that no matter where I go, something bad has happened. Vancouver, Burnaby, Delta, Surrey… is anywhere safe anymore? A few weeks ago a woman was attacked in broad daylight, crossing a street that is less than 5 mins from my home. A couple years ago there was a creep watching young women through basement windows in my neighbourhood (please buy blinds people!) and doing (what I’m sure you can imagine) with his body. I’m going to a Christmas party where I’m worried about having to catch the skytrain because the area is totally sketch. (Yes I could and will probably get a ride, but that isn’t really the point). I’m scared to walk home when it’s just getting dark outside, even though I’m a 5 min walk from skytrain. It’s the fact that I feel scared. I don’t feel safe anymore. I read that random attacks on strangers are increasing. What has happened to our city. It’s depressing. Am I alone in these thoughts….

Not alone

I’m a senior woman who was never afraid to be out alone in the dark. But now this place isn’t safe at any time of the day, and definitely not in the dark. Crime is out of control and we have lax laws to thank for that. Too many people worrying more about the criminals (yeah, yeah, I know all about the root causes of criminal behaviour, but come on!) than they are about the victims. In my own upscale neighbourhood people are being attacked in broad daylight, there are constant car thefts and property thefts, and on the fb groups anyone expressing anger at the criminal is being attacked by people telling them they should feel sorry for the criminals! It’s beyond ridiculous.

I'm so sorry to hear that. Having a vehicle stolen is a terrible feeling. And feeling unsafe is a hard experience to process. I hope you can find places where you Do feel safe and can slowly rebuild from there. I wish people wouldn't take things that aren't theirs. For now, I am very happy to scream bloody murder at them and beat them with a baseball bat for you.

God Bless you OP <3 <3 <3 Amen. We are in end of times, thus evil actions, evil deeds, macabre, insane, illogical, criminal and violent deeds are increasing ever rapidly, especially by the global elites, as Prophesied by Jesus Christ, predicted and written in bible. I recommend kind-lovingly and urgently that you become familiar with Book of Revelation. All the prophesies in bible that were recorded in ancient times, are happening. Your and everyone's individual Salvation is Only Through our God and Saviour, Jesus The Christ/Messiah. Jesus Christ Taught, people perish in everlasting hell because of lack of knowledge of The Truth. God Protect, Guide, Heal and Keep you and all girls and women well and safe, in this fallen and satan-ruled world. Be well <3 <3 <3
