All the humiliation you can handle

It’s bad enough that I applied for a job at half my usual salary. After I applied, I got a request to do an automated voice interview where I speak my answers to the computer and they are recorded. It’s an HR bot. I find it repugnant to sound stoked, enthusiastic and eager, speaking to no one for a minimum wage job.

Businesses crying about labour shortages can cough up a living wage or fold.

A lot of businesses are probably going to start doing this.

Job hunting nowadays is so dehumanizing. The bots used by larger companies that filter out all but the resumes with specific keywords. The rote drill and questions that leave no room for explanation, context, or basic humanity. The insistence on filling out online forms only that totally duplicate the information on your resume, but that insist that you must also supply the resume! It’s all so exhausting and demoralizing. If you happen to be in a class of society such as disabled, seniors, newcomers, etc, it’s so much worse. So I feel for you believe me because I’ve been through it. Just hang in there and try not to get discouraged because there are jobs out there, even if the process in finding one is tedious and stressful.

Answer in the most offensive manner your imagination will allow.
It is doubtful

that this particular company has any kind of employee retention. If I had other options I would withdraw my application. Autobots equates to AutoEmployeeZombies. Good luck with this. My inner rebel child would spout weird shit back into the bullshit autointerviewer bot. Or verbally try to reach a sustained frequency that disables the software and crashes the entire system. The possibilities are endless!!
