Bizarre indeed

My ex and I have had this bizarre connection from the day we met. Like we would say exactly the same thing at the same time, finish each other’s sentences, know what the other one was thinking, etc. It was literally like sharing a brain, and as a result it was an intoxicating feeling at times that made it easier to ignore the bad stuff. So when people ask me now why I still miss them even after all the really bad things that happened that broke my heart, I try to explain that part. I’ve never felt so connected to anyone else in my life, and being away from them, even though I know it’s the right thing, is very difficult. To this day we still share that bizarre connection even though we’re rarely in touch, and sometimes that makes me really sad and that’s when the old “if only” thoughts creep in. But the reality is that I’m not going back to old patterns anymore because I’ve made a promise not to, so “if only” will just have to remain in my heart because my head is finally in charge.

what the bad stuff was...? It must have been pretty heinous to want to give up that.
But what if he/them changes? People grow and change despite the limiting/ignorant "leopard" saying.
Would you give thim another chance?

You watched the Note Book one too many times. Looks like a lot of women in these confessions did. Trust me the guy you're talking about (and this goes for all you ladies thinking about that guy you left to boil over on the back burner), he only sees you as the two timing snake that didn't have his back but instead put the knife repeatedly in it for the sake of YOUR petty jealousy.

I don’t think so. Based on my understanding of the twin flame concept, we would have to have had similar life circumstances, but we didn’t. In fact our childhoods and our life paths have been completely different. We do share some similarities in our abilities / talents and the things we like to do and laugh at, etc, but we also don’t agree on many things. We just seem to have a psychic connection of some kind. Like we will text each other out of the blue at exactly the same random moment, even after not speaking for some time, that type of thing. We often would show up wearing a similar outfit (although different genders) right down to the shoes, and when we looked at the world around us we’d notice exactly the same things at the same time, like a specific colour or shape of leaf or something like that. So if it had worked out in some of the other ways it could have been an amazing relationship, but instead it just depleted me because I wanted it so much that I gave myself away in trying. No relationship is worth having to lose your own identity completely in order to satisfy someone else.

There are such interesting parallels here sometimes -- I had a peppermint tea yesterday morning for the first time in about ten years, and a couple days before that also happened to partially psychically reconnect with what I'm pretty sure is my twin (flame) after a long internal forgetting/disconnection. And now there's yet another reply in another post here from the same day that specifically mentions peppermint tea :P

I miss when there were frequently very interesting / intriguing posts and replies here, some of which I'm pretty sure are made by 'onion people' (born telepaths with relatively little amnesic veiling compared to the norm, who outwardly appear like "regular people" unless they happen to let others in on the non-ordinary depth of their awareness, which they rarely do).

It's nice to be and feel connected to others, to realize that some people actually see us much more clearly and vividly than they let on -- and perhaps than we even see ourselves, strange as that might sound.

@@tea - twins don't necessarily have similar life circumstances, as far as I understand it; they just happen to have a very close intertwining of certain qualities, and mirror each other very closely within consciousness and emotion, often to the point where overt mutual experiences of telepathy happen, which in most other types of relationships tend to be (for most of us) buried far enough underneath the surface awareness not to be recognized.

I’m sorry that you got hurt. Lots of us have been hurt too. But you seem especially angry and I’m not sure if you think this post is about you? In my case there was no two-timing on my part. He had me from hello and since then there’s been no one else who really interested me enough to last more than a couple of dates. I tried when we were broken up, but no one ever came close. I doubt that something like this happens more than once in a lifetime, and maybe that’s a good thing, because this relationship almost killed me.

Sounds like you were dating yourself, like two peas in a pod how boring.
Did you also put a big old knife in someone's back, being that you are so similar ?

:O!! I thought I was one of the only people who used the term essence twins (two essences that were originally the same essence, which is different from twin flames) - I stand corrected! I hadn't even thought of that, but it's also a very real possibility re unusually synchronized connections in the human context.
