Government plant-based meat mandates

I am glad we haven't gotten to this point yet. It's so gross to know corporate America could own our right to eat meat and replace it with highly processed soy-beans and chemicals because it is fashionable with brainwashed young people.

Meatless Wonder

Omg that plant based meatless garbage tastes like shit and it's more expensive than real meat.
That's never going to catch on unless your taste buds are dead and you like just throwing away money. Horrible after taste too I tried one "meatball ". If you wanna call it that and I don't even eat that much meat to begin with because I love veggies but when I do eat a bit of meat it should be real meat. People should just eat smaller portions of meat.
Bla never again !
Yuck !
One woman's opinion :)

The united states produces a LOT of soy. 4.5 billion bushels a year. Guess who eats it?

cruelty, control, and ethics

I don't support forcing people to eat or not eat certain things, or 'authority' in any form, but I would also happily support a planet-wide ban on factory farming and large-scale commercial overfishing, and all of the unimaginable confinement, harm, pain, suffering, sorrow, torture, mutilation, and murder that billions of very sentient beings go through every day of every year. It's the single most extreme source of suffering that exists on this planet right now in terms of sheer quantity and severity (and I realize that the collective sum of cruelty and suffering human beings go through is ... vast, and I don't invalidate it at all); there are definitely far better ways to treat animals and do things.

I'd never inflict that kind of horror on myself, a lover, my best friend, my child or my pets, and the logical extension of that includes all sentient beings where that is avoidable - they aren't less sentient or worthy of sane treatment just because I don't personally know them.

Poor critters :( And suffering beings in general, everywhere. My heart breaks for them

Almost 80% of the world's soy is fed to livestock. You'll get your soy one way or another.

American Meat!!

Each year, U.S. farmers raise some 36 million beef cattle. 99% of all beef cattle entering feedlots in the United States are given steroidal hormone implants to promote faster growth. A large percentage of poultry and pigs are also fed these drugs, not to mention, rampant use of antibiotics with livestock – primarily used as a tool to help them grow larger and bigger – and how 70% of all antibiotics used in the U.S. is for livestock use.

For decades, scientific studies have shown a connection between eating red meat — like beef, pork, veal and lamb — and getting heart disease. Look at meat the way you would anything that's bad for your health, in moderation.

Let them try

I won't comply. I'll eat every CEO on the planet and wipe them from my fat hairy ass with the money they would have me spend on their soy based garbage. They'll never come close to owning my right to anything before I shit them out as fertilizer to grow the crops that the cows feed off.

I understand your point butttt…

I think saying brainwashed younger people puts you in an ‘us vs them’ mentality which isn’t helpful on topics such as climate change, which is the main reason people are giving up meat. I was a vegetarian for years, now I only eat pasture raised meat. That said, vegetarians have existed since the beginning of time, it’s just recently that there are so many options. Yes, some of them are totally unhealthy and packed with hydrogenated oils… but also the way some meat is raised is absolutely disgusting. There’s a cow farm I pass that the smell hits you kms before you see it. I completely understand why people would rather eat something that tastes similar but doesn’t cause suffering in that way and contribute greenhouse gases. Of course, these alternative products are also problematic. Lots of them have palm oil. I think we all just have to sympathize with each other that being a human is complicated. The government spent years and tons of money convincing people dairy, meat, and modified grain products were healthy. I’m fine if they switch it up.

I’m 36

I can out run out lift and out jump you

I’m ripped and I’m healthy as fuck.

I attribute that to a plant based diet I’ve been eating since like 2008.

Why do you think people are living longer in the blue states

It’s the food. It’s always been the food.

Here’s the thing though. It affects you not me.

It’s like the vaccine, you’re the one who will die of COVID if you don’t take it. Cholesterol too. You’re the one who will suffer when you have a heart attack at 40.

Smarten up
