Sorry but it sounds to me like fate had you dodge a bullet. Just imagine if you end up with someone that doesn't find you as interesting as anyone else they're with or even as interesting as they find themselves. It would be such a toxic relationship. You'd always be the host and they'd always be the parasite.

It sounds like your goals weren't particularly strong ones.

Maybe you were looking for an excuse to give up. It's probably what turned her off about you, as soon as you changed from a body with goals into a lesser version of your best self.
