Unbelievable

I have been chatting with woman after woman about how the system that's is supposed to be set up to help woman and children move on is letting everyone down. There is no help, there is no hope. Why is that? Can anyone answer this simple question ? I know now from my own experiences that it's true, a useless ridiculous system. I feel like giving up ! Or going to the news with my story cause there is a lot more to the story than what I have confessed today. A lot more !

Women get locked in psych wards, heavily medicated, and gaslighted simply for being terrified of the abuse they’re experiencing, or for suffering the psychological fallout of past abuse.

It’s absolutely sickening to come to terms with who the systems (medical, courts, police, etc.) are set up to protect.

It’s all broken

The “system” for pretty much everything is broken. I believe the simple answer is that our government welcomes far too many newcomers to the country without even the resources or infrastructure in place to service the people who are already here. The population is just too large and there aren’t enough affordable homes for everyone, there aren’t enough doctors, and the basic services for anyone other than the wealthy are totally overwhelmed. So if you happen to be one of the majority of us who aren’t wealthy, then you’re going to be on a wait list for almost everything. It’s a completely broken system. But if you’re wealthy then you’re able to buy a great house, get private health care, and boy is there ever a surplus of services available for you to purchase expensive cars, fancy clothes and jewelry, and get all the cosmetic work done that you like. Vancouver is a disaster now.

I don’t think shifting the blame toward immigrants and refugees, or Canadian policy toward welcoming newcomers, is fair or accurate.

But great description of the two class tiers. I agree with all of your subsequent statements.

My point isn’t about race or culture. It’s about population. Too many people fighting for too few resources. People are flooding in from countries where the overpopulation and corruption has created havoc, and now we’re experiencing exactly the same things here, albeit in the beginning stages of the rot. Of course that’s not the only problem, but it’s sure a big part of it. Those of us who have paid for decades into the tax and social programs have funded them, but can often not access them because there are so many people who have only been here a short time using them. These are facts, and it has nothing to do with where they come from. I believe that we need to be able to take care of the people who are already here before we welcome the rest of the world. Unfortunately I also believe it’s far too late because the damage has already been done.

Certainly sounds like you’re talking about race and culture.

Friendly reminder that overpopulation panic is rooted in eugenics and is heavily weighted against developing countries and black, brown, Indigenous, and disabled people.

Check out the If Books Could Kill podcast’s recent debunking of The Population Bomb for consideration.

The second part of your original argument is key here. If there are resources to be hoarded by an upper tier, does that not mean that there’s enough to go around, Robin Hood style?

of course there are way too many people here already. I was born and raised in BC and still can't get the help i need over 40 years later, and yet i realize that there are so so many others in this province that have it even worse than I do.

charity should begin at home, but the problem is that this type of charity isn't profitable, and it also does nothing to enhance the international image of certain statesmen.
