Do you mean the war in Ukraine? The war that could make another WORLD war? I can promise you the money that could go towards your snow removal is not going towards the war, it’s going towards fancy coffees for government staff. Helping others is not exclusive of having help in Canada.
So silly

Your comments are misdirected, have nothing to do with Ukraine or any other global conflicts. Call your municipality and deal with it or see if Snow Angels can help you if you live in Vancouver. Our neighbourhood helps each other with one guy actually crafting a plywood plow on his truck.

Too narrow

There are many side streets in Vancouver that are too narrow for a snowplough. Imagine having cars parked on both sides of the street, and then a plow goes down the middle. Where do you suppose that snow is going to wind up going?

... are being proper gas lit by these two commenters. Canada spends Millions if not billions in foreign aid in a country with crumbling infrastructure unacceptable Health Care wait times and a lack of services like keeping the streets clear when it snows. The problem is that they know you can't do anything about it so the elite will continue shoveling money into the Ukraine and wherever else they see fit to shovel your money into because they know you can't do anything about it. What are you going to do, fire the government?

Stay warm and safe at home

Before I lived in Vancouver, I lived in the Interior and had a vehicle which could be safely driven in the snow. During my first snow in Vancouver I saw cars on main roads sliding onto sidewalks and through red lights. I do not feel safe on the roads in Vancouver even when they are plowed and salted.
During a recent snowfall my employer advised us that if we took a snow day, we would have to take vacation leave. I walked to my bus stop and saw people queuing for a block as full busses only stopped if passengers were getting off. I decided that for my mental and physical health, I was better off going home and keeping warm. I called my boss and left a message saying that I would get sick at the bus stop before the bus arrived. I had a fabulous day at home. The boss let employees who called in before their normal start time to take a sick day.
