Old building noises

Sometimes I wonder if the person who thinks it’s necessary to take a shower every morning at 5:30 am realizes that the entire building has to listen to the din from the pipes. It’s so loud that it actually wakes me up. It’s a really small building so I know it’s not just me that has to listen to it. How dirty does someone have to be to require a shower just because they slept? Couldn’t they just wash pits and groin?

Old buildings

Old buildings are like that. Maybe there can be something done about the pipes. In my experience they may rattle due to air pockets. Perhaps the owner can 'bleed' the pipes. Call a plumbing outfit on your own to see what it might be causing it. Don't hate on your neighbour. They may need to shower after being in bed all night if you catch my drift. ;-) Don't really want to think about that but it's a good thing they keep clean.

Deal with it

If you don't like it then buy a house. Otherwise just accept the fact that you live in a shared building.

But then I think of how many people in this World have it way worse and wish they could have what we have in Good Ole' Canada; Albeit this is Unceded indigenous Territory.

Ironic

It makes you seem like you’re dirtier because you don’t want to shower every day. I used to live in a building that was noisy and I ultimately had to move because I couldn’t stand it anymore, so I sympathize. It’s pretty normal for people to take a shower to wake up though and if you’re still in bed be thankful for the extra rest they don’t get ;)

Yes, some people like to be clean before going to work for the day and some people work early in the morning. So yes it's necessary.

Spent all night working as a janitor or at the docks, and just want a little clean up before trying to sleep during the day.

my window nightly. I can sleep through that (most often) and you can turn over and go back to sleep.

That was the time I had to get up to get ready and then go to work where it is frowned upon to not be clean. Especially if working on a Medical or Surgical unit where nausea can be a problem.
